Through ups and down, press speculation and break up rumours – the Beckhams have defied the odds by becoming one of the few celebrity couples to have made it past the twenty-year marker. Subject to intense press attention and criticism from the moment their relationship was announced the Beckhams are a pair who have always stuck together and put their family first.

Spring 1997 – The pair first meet a football match.
The pair were both wildly successful before becoming one of the most enduring celebrity power couples. Victoria was busy conquering the world as Posh Spice from the wildly successful Spice Girls and David was quickly establishing his place as one of the best footballers of all time while playing for Manchester United.
Their paths first crossed when Victoria and fellow Spice Girl Mel C headed to the players lounge after a 1997 charity match. In a 2016 issue of British Vogue, Victoria looked back to moment proclaiming, “Love at first sight does exist!”
January 1998 – An Engagement and Pregnancy are Announced.
Just about a year later the singer and her footballer beau announced their engagement at a special press conference.
A couple of months late the celebrity pair had more exciting news to share as they announced Victoria’s pregnancy.
March 1999 – Brooklyn Beckham Enters the World!
The couple welcomed their first child and named him Brooklyn – reportedly after where he was conceived!
July 1999 – A Romantic Wedding in Ireland Follows
Just three months after the birth of Brooklyn the couple married in a lavish ceremony in a romantic castle near Dublin. Victoria wore a Vera Want gown while her husband chose an all-white tuxedo for the big day.
February 2002 – Baby No. 2 is announced.
While Victoria pursued her solo music career and David headed for the 2002 World Cup, they also announced that their family would be growing with a new baby on the way.
September 2002 – Romeo is Born.
The Beckham’s second son Romeo was born in London and proud dad David gushed to reporters outside how much he looked his older brother – “He’s got Brooklyn’s nose and Victoria’s chin.”
2003 – The Beckhams Move to Madrid.
Following David’s move to Real Madrid, the young family relocated to Spain. During this time, it was rumoured that Beckham had an affair with his assistant Rebecca Loos. Although the couple have always insisted this is untrue and maintained a united front against the allegations.
August 2004 – Victoria Announces She is Pregnant for a Third Time!
Despite the allegations of infidelity, the Beckhams remained committed tot heir family life and announced that they were expecting their third child together.
February 2005 – Baby Cruz is Welcomed into The World.
A third child was added to the Beckham Family when son Cruz was born in a hospital in Madrid. Proud dad gushed to reporters outside “He is beautiful!”
2007 – The Beckhams Head to Hollywood.
David transfers from Real Madrid to the LA Galaxy team, meaning the family were headed for a new home in Los Angeles.
2009 – An Iconic Armani Ad Campaign and 10 Roses for 10 years.
The couple confirmed their celebrity couple power in a steamy set of adds for Emporio Armani underwear. The Beckhams also celebrated their ten-year wedding anniversary, with David revealing a new tattoo around his arms of ten roses representing each year of their marriage.
Spring 2011 – The Beckham Family Becomes Bigger.
The celebrity pair announced in early 2011 that they were expecting their fourth child while living in LA.
April 2011 – The Celebrity Royal Couple Attend the Wedding of the Real Royals!
David and a visibly pregnant Victoria were invited to attend the nuptial of Prince William and Kate Middleton in London.
July 2011 – A Baby Girl is Announced!
After three boys, David and Victoria welcomed Harper Seven, just a little while after their 12th wedding anniversary.
May 2013 – David Retires and the Family Heads back to London.
After 21 years playing professional football, David announced his retirement and the Beckhams headed back to London so Victoria could concentrate on her growing fashion empire.
2016 – The Celebrity Pair Celebrate 17 Years of Marriage.
In an Instagram Post Victoria spoke lovingly about her husband of seventeen years – “My best friend, my love. The kindest man who inspires me every day”
January 2017 – The Beckhams Renew their Vows.
In an interview with Desert Island Discs, David revealed that he and Victoria had reaffirmed their commitment in a small vow renewal ceremony in their home.
May 2018 – The Couple Attend Another Royal Wedding.
The Beckhams were invited back to attend the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Megan Markle, affirming their celebrity power.
2018 – Divorce Rumours Swirl
Tabloid speculation began that the Beckhams would be heading for the divorce courts, but the couple remained firmly united, with a rep blasting the gossip as “Fake News.”
April 2019 – Victoria Celebrates her 45th Birthday with David and the kids.
Victoria celebrated her birthday with her loved ones and celebrated on Instagram with a photo of her family and loving caption – “The most beautiful day with my favourite people in the world.”
July 2019 – The Beckhams Celebrate their Twentieth Wedding Anniversary
Victoria took to social media to praise her husband “20 years today. I Love you so much.” While David commented “WOW 20 years, look what we created.”
April 2021 – The Couple Have a Romantic Getaway in Miami
Victoria’s 47th birthday was spent with her husband by a romantic fire on a Miami Beach. David shared a pic of his wife with the caption “We love you so much.”
May 2022 – David Enjoys His Birthday on a Family Holiday.
David enjoyed his own 47th birthday celebration while on holiday with all the family. Victoria paid tribute on social media – “Happy Birthday, the best daddy! We all love your so much!”
July 2022 – The Beckhams Celebrate their 23rd Wedding Anniversary.
