Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has spent a fair share of his life on film sets, so it’s no shock that he met his long time love while making a movie! The actor has kept his relationship with fellow thespian Erin Darke on the private side but has shared some romantic hints at how he and Erin fell in love.

2012 – Daniel and Erin First Meet on a Movie Set
Erin and Daniel first met when they both cast in the 2013 movie “Kill Your Darlings”. Daniel was hired to portray legendary beat poet Allen Ginsberg. Erin played a smaller role in the movie as Gwendolyn.
Not long after meeting on the movie set, Daniel and Erin began dating. Daniel would later describe the connection between the two as “instant”, He told Parade magazine, “You just have a connection with somebody, and then suddenly it’s incredibly easy to talk to them. It was one of those sort of situations.”
2013 – Daniel Confirms That He is Officially in a Relationship!
Erin Darke and Daniel Radcliffe initially kept their new relationship incredibly quiet indeed. In 2013 Daniel did confirm in an interview with Andy Cohen that he was dating someone. But he refused to name his lucky partner. He also confirmed to Glamour magazine that he was dating someone special but wanted to keep the relationship private. He did mention however that “My type is intelligent.”
2014 – Daniel and Erin Make Their Red Carpet Debut and Confirm Their Couple Status
At the June 2014 Tony Awards, Erin appeared by Daniel’s side on the red carpet to support her boyfriend. Radcliffe was attending due to his stint in the play “Broadway in the Cripple of Inishmaan” which was nominated as best revival of a play.
The private Harry Potter star was also a bit more open about his romance in an interview with Glamour magazine. The actor revealed that Erin was his best friend and gushed, “”I think that’s the kind of relationship I always aspire to have with someone I’m in a relationship with. You want that person to be your best friend.”
2015 – The Pair Go Viral With Their Karaoke Antics
The private couple were spotted in Cameron’s Pub in Half Moon Bay, California where they engaged in some impromptu karaoke rapping. The pair’s rendition of Eminem’s “The Real Slim Shady “made a huge splash on social media when footage of the song session emerged.
2020 – The Love Up Couple Bucked Down Together for Quarantine
When the pandemic hit, it was rumoured that Radcliffe was one of the first celebrities to be hit by the virus. The actor denied reports but revealed that he and Erin were playing it safe by going into isolation. In a March 2020 Vulture interview, Radcliffe revealed that he and Erin has been in isolation for 11 days and intended to continue doing so, “We’re going to keep isolating and try and stave it off.”
2022 – Daniel and Erin Prove They Are Still Going Strong at the Premiere of His New Movie
The private pair have rarely made public appearances together over the years, but at the September 2022 premiere of the movie “Weird: the Al Yankovic Story” Erin showed up to support her long time love.
At the premier, Daniel raved about how much he enjoyed working with his actor girlfriend on their movie “Miracle Workers” and teased that people might expect to see some further collaborations in the future.
