The first date went fantastically, you clicked, you talked, you laughed, and you both agreed you want to see each other again. But where is the best place to go on a second date? Check our list below for some inspiration!
- A Fun Activity Date
If you want to develop your connection a fun, casual date can be a great way to go, Shake off the formality and nerves of a dinner date and head to the bowling alley, or mini golf or even indoor climbing! Have some laughs, share some stories and create some stories of your own together. This is a fun way to get to know each other a little more in an unpressured environment and you will have a game to focus on while you enjoy each other’s company.
- Visit your Favourite Local Pub, Bar or Restaurant
If the first date was on neutral territory, now might be the time to welcome your date into your world a little. Show them one of your favourite drinking holes, perhaps even introduce them to a few local faces and let them get a look at the type of places you like to visit. The home advantage will also give you the chance to show off if you know about food and drinks which aren’t normally on the menu, and to tell stories about funny and epics nights you’ve had in the bar before (just make sure they show you in a good light!)
- Cook a Meal Together
If you’re a bit of a foodie, or even if you’re not, cooking your meal together can be a fun way to spend some time, and, if all goes well, you get a delicious meal at the end as well! If you are a fantastic cook this is your time to shine and impress your date and if not, you can always have fun learning together.
Make sure that you ask about any allergies or food requirements your date may have beforehand, you don’t want your second date to finish up in A&E!
- Go for a Walk or a Hike
If you live in an area with loads of beautiful scenery, then take advantage of any good weather and get outside. A stroll in the sunshine is a sure-fire mood brightener and physical movement will have your energy levels and endorphins buzzing. If you get a little tired then have a sit down, a snack and a drink and people watch. It’s a lovely way to get to know each other a little more and healthy too!
- See a Stand Up Show
A date which will be full of fun and laughter. Take the pressure of yourselves and sit back and be entertained by a professional! You’ll get to see if your sense of humours mesh and what each other find funny. Any remaining ice will be broken and you’ll both have a fantastic time. Just be sure not to sit too near the front if you don’t want to become part of a comic’s crowd work!
