The 2018 wedding of Princess Diana’s son Prince Harry to American actor Meghan Markle was a similar fairy tale affair. Top celebrities, royalty and socialites converged in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle to watch the young royal couple get married in a ceremony which cost a reported $48,0000!
Prince William was best man for the occasion and Prince Charles walked Meghan down the aisle. Meghan wore two bridal gowns worth over $300,000 and the wedding was watched by millions of people worldwide.

Celerity royalty Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are well known for their careful curation of their private lives for public consumption and their wedding was certainly no exception! The rapper and reality TV star married in an opulent ceremony in a 16th century fort located in Florence, Italy. The grand total cost for the occasion came to a reported $6 million dollars.
Kim wore a bespoke wedding dress designed by former Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci and the night before the wedding, the couple held a reception in the Versailles hall of Mirrors for 600 guests.
Victoria Adams and David Beckham
Celebrity couple entrepreneurs David and Victoria Beckham married in a lavish ceremony costing over $1 million in 1999. The former Spice Girl and her footballer beau organised a celeb-filled extravaganza in a castle in Ireland and invited all their footballing and music biz friends including Elton John, Victoria’s bandmates, and members of the England Football team.
The wedding reportedly took 14 months to organise, and the couple chose a Robin hood décor theme, using the colours of green, burgundy, and purple throughout the wedding. The couple even had bespoke purple wedding outfits created for the festivities. The couple famously commissioned gold thrones to sit on during the reception, where Victoria sat with a crown and the couple cut their wedding cake with a sword!

Bollywood turned Hollywood actor Priyanka Chopra and her Jonas Brothers beau Nick Jonas certainly made a splash when they tied the knot in an extravagant ceremony in Jodhpur, India.
The wedding festivities combined both Hindu and Christian traditions and kicked off in an ancient palace in the Indian city. Chopra wore a beautiful red Sabyasachi lehenga which took a total of 110 embroiders over 3,000 hours to create! She then changes into a Ralph Lauren Couture gown for the ceremony itself. Following the ceremony, the couple would go on to hold further wedding receptions in Mumbai, Delhi, and North Carolina.
