2015 – Kirsten and Jesse First Meet on the Set for the Second Season of Fargo
While filming the second season of TV hit “Fargo” in 2015, Kirsten and Jesse struck up a friendship while playing the murderous married couple Peggy and Ed Blomquist. There were no hints of romance at the time as Kirsten was in a relationship with actor Garrett Hedlund.
2016 – Rumours of a Romance First Begin to Swirl
One month after it was revealed that Dunst and Hedlund’s four year relationship has hit the skids, she and Jesse were spotted engaging in some PDA in Studio City California! The paparazzi pics made headlines as Fargo fans were delighted with the idea that the Blomquist’s were now together in real life!
2017 – The Acclaimed Actors Get Engaged
The start of the new year brought exciting news as it was revealed that Kristen wore an oval shaped diamond ring on her engagement finger while attending Paris Fashion Week. A source confirmed that Jesse had proposed to Kirsten during the Christmas period.
Later that year, Kirsten spoke about the engagement while making an appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s talk show.
2018 – Kirsten and Jesse Confirm the Birth of their First Child
Over a year after their engagement, it was announced that the actor couple had welcomed their first child into the world. Their son, Ennis Howard Plemons was born on 3 May. The couple have been fiercely protective of the privacy of their young family and do not share any pictures of their child on social media.
2019 – Plemons pays Tribute To Kristen at her Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony
When Kirsten’s talents were recognized with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Jesse proudly took to the podium to pay tribute to his love. Jesse beamed with pride as he addressed Kirsten inf front of the crowd: “Seeing the kind of mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and cohort you are is why I and all of your friends and everyone else are here today, and why we all love you.”
2021 – Dunst and Plemons Announce the Birth of Their Second Child
The pair kept the birth of their second son James Robert Plemons private and didn’t reveal the birth until four months afterwards. Kirsten revealed the new addition in a New York Times interview in September of 2021. She told the reporter: “”He’s an angel, but he’s a hungry angel. And a heavy angel.”
2021 – The Couple Reunite Onscreen in the Acclaimed Netflix Film “The Power of the Dog.”
Kirsten and Jesse proved to be cinematic magic once more when they collaborated on the Netflix feature “The Power of the Dog.” The film told the tale of two brothers on a Montana Ranch, and what happens when one of them (Jesse’s character) falls in love with a widow (played by Kirsten.)
At the premiere, Jesse raved about working with Kirsten again, telling reporters, “I don’t wanna do another project without her. It’s just the best.”
February 2022 – Dunst and Plemons Prove They Are Still Going Strong During Award Season
In support of their Netflix movie “The Power of the Dog”, Kirsten and Jesse graced several red carpets as a couple including the SAG awards, Bafta Awards and later the Oscars. The Academy Awards was especially exciting for the souple, both of whom were up for their first Oscar nominations!
